Lunch at Great Hucklow
The children here at Great Hucklow benefit from attending a small school as they are provided with a choice of 4 food options each day. All children are able to sign up for either the hot main meal, a hot vegetarian option, a jacket potato or sandwich along with a choice of hot desert, yoghurt or fruit. The school meal menu is created by Derbyshire County Council and follows a three week rota changed every six months. The food is prepared on site, by Ms Pippa Bradwell, our school cook, who knows the children so well that she can usually guess what the children will want!
School Meals currently cost £2.30 per day for KS2 children not in receipt of Free School Meals, these are paid for via ParentPay. All parents receive logins for ParentPay when their children join our school. All children in Reception and KS1 benefit from Universal Free School Meals.
Applying for Free School Meals
Children in receipt of Free School Meals generate additional school income to be spent on educating the children of our school, applying is quick and easy and can be applied for even if your child is eligible for Universal Free School Meals.
