Friends of Great Hucklow School
Welcome to the Friends of Great Hucklow School section.
Our friends association or FoGHS as they're commonly known provide a vital service to the school both as a social and fundraising group. Each year FoGHS hosts a number of great social events such as the pub quiz, school disco and family camping. They also provide refreshments at all our school events.
They have raised a huge amount of money for the school. In 2009 they organised a very successful auction of promises which raised £8,000 for new IT equipment. In 2011 they donated a whopping £7,500 for new school furniture and most recently have donated approximately £1,500 towards playground improvements including fixed goal nets and a climbing wall.
Meetings are always friendly and informal. They are usually held in school or in members' homes and everybody associated with the school is very welcome to attend.
